Fed: llegal immigrant and political donor arrested in Singapore

JIM FOO, an illegal immigrant with links to Immigration Minister PHILIP RUDDOCK willreportedly be charged by a Singaporean court tomorrow.

An SBS News report last night said FOO had been arrested in Singapore after being deportedfrom Australia.

FOO overstayed his visa by nine years but was still able to forge links with Mr RUDDOCKas well as the Labor Party via political donations.

Singaporean police spokesman STANLEY NORBERT says FOO was arrested in relation to threeallegations of cheating during a local property deal.

Media reports published last month say that during his time in Australia, FOO alsomet Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD and Employment Minister TONY ABBOTT.

He also reportedly mingled with former Labor leader KIM BEAZLEY, NSW Premier BOB CARRand former Prime Minister BOB HAWKE.

SBS says FOO left Australia after buying an airline ticket on Thursday.

He'd dropped a Federal Court challenge to his deportation order.
