The decision by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to not continue with the case against Jacob Zuma makes this a sad day for democracy in South Africa.
Once again, power has triumphed over principle, and the integrity of the law has been massively compromised.
This decision has shown that the NPA is willing to compromise when under pressure, which is in direct contravention of the obligations placed on it by the constitution.
