WA: Man in court over hit and run death

PERTH, Dec 23 AAP - A 29-year-old man has appeared in a Perth court charged in relation
to the hit and run death of a three-year-old boy.

Carlos Jose Moros, of suburban Stirling, was not required to plea when he appeared
in the Perth Magistrate's Court this afternoon.

Moros is charged with seven traffic offences, including dangerous driving causing death,
dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, failing to stop at a traffic accident
and driving without a licence.

The charges relate to an accident in Osborne Park on August 11 this year, when a car
ploughed into Madida Abdipanah, aged three, as he was being pushed along Hutton Street
in a stroller by his mother, Golistan Mardini.

Ms Mardini received serious injuries.

Moros was remanded on $5,000 personal bail and will appear in court again on January
21 next year.
